Studio
Engineering clarity.
Material honesty.
GIDE is an industrial design studio focused on practical, well‑made objects. The work sits at the intersection of engineering and warm‑minimal form. Each piece is designed to function cleanly, age well, and feel at home in everyday use.
History
GIDE was founded in 2025 with a straightforward goal: make useful objects with clear reasoning behind every decision. The studio’s background in mechanical engineering shapes how each piece is developed, tested, and refined.
The pace is deliberate. We release one object at a time so the work can move through prototyping, tolerance checks, and material evaluation without compromise. By sharing the documentation that guides our process, we hope to give you a deeper understanding of the work and the confidence that comes with it.
Core Principles
01. Traceable Design
Every decision is traceable to a functional requirement. If it doesn't serve a purpose, it is removed.
02. Material Truth
We select materials for their mechanical properties first. The aesthetic is a result of the material’s nature.
03. Deliberate Pace
By focusing on one object at a time, we ensure every detail meets our engineering standards before release.
