GIDE Mount

A wall-mounted display hook engineered for jerseys and everyday hangers. The cantilevered arm profile reads as furniture, not hardware — concealed fasteners, matte-finish polymer body, and a geometry derived entirely from load requirements.

Technical Notes

The arm geometry was derived from a simple cantilever model with a 4 kg point load at the tip. Wall thickness varies along the arm — thicker at the root, tapering toward the tip — which produces the visual taper while maintaining constant stress distribution. There is no unnecessary material.

The mounting plate uses nanotape adhessive to attache to your wall for a clean no drilling experience

Material and process notes:

  • ASA chosen over ABS for UV stability — no topcoat required
  • 0.2 mm layer height, 4 perimeters, 40% gyroid infill
  • Matte black filament — surface texture is inherent, not applied
  • All mounting hardware: Nano Tape Adhessive
  • Wall plate: 3 mm mild steel, powder-coated black
  • Prototype count: 4 revisions before production
  • Tested load: 6 kg static, 1000-cycle dynamic at 2 kg
